Mario Birthday Cake & Divergent Inspired Cake

Hi All :) This was a fun weekend with loads of cake projects, birthday parties, and fun!! I started off the weekend making a cake for my awesome neighbor Ellen's birthday! She is really into the book series called Divergent by Veronica Roth. Since I had never read the book (or heard of it for that matter :P), I decided to use the cover of the book as inspiration for the design :) Inside was a superrrr delicious red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream icing.

The next cake for was a sweet 5 year old who loves Mario! This cake was a superrrrr delicious chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing.
